Happy Valentine's Day to all within this virtual hear shot internet communication broadcast distribution device who happen to stumble on to the Pattison Area Heritage Society's website.
More news! And great BIG NEWS, too! Something we've been turning blue holding our breath waiting to announce our next "Guest Speaker".
For months, even years, people have been requesting that we get our next guest to speak at a PAHS meeting. Mainly due to conflicts of schedules and other matters, we have not been able to arrange for this to happen until now. So get ready!
We are proud almost giddy since we've been holding our breath to announce that Patricia Muske will be our speaker on Monday evening, the 24th of February. If you don't know her, she was a teacher at Katy and Kincaid High Schools. She is a wonderful being with authentic character that speaks with grand devotion of what is present at the time.
One of the neat things about asking people to come talk to the PAHS according to Truett Bell, "is that I get to hear stories that they will not tell in front of an audience. Most the time, I am sworn to secrecy, but, they are neat stories".
What will Patricia have to tell us about her life, her family, her well known cattleman daddy or some of the people in and around Pattison. The Muske Ranch has been a fixture for many years. Truett Bell remembers that he once heard Mr. Roy talk about skinning cows after a brutal freeze that killed cattle all over. It is certain you will hear more about this at the meeting.
Thank you to all the past requests to get Patricia Muske to speak at the PAHS. And in the words of Truett Bell, "You have asked for her, so here she comes. You better be there".
