Pattison Area Heritage Society's Monthly Meeting

Next "Mystery Guest Event" although isn't a mystery any longer (thanks to Truett Bell's request).

Pattison Area Heritage Society meetings are held on the last Monday evening of each month* (no meetings in May or December).

Meeting Location: Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department 2950 FM 359, Pattison, Texas

Time: The meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Doors open at 6:30 pm.

* the last Monday of each month with the exception of May and December, which on these particular months there will not be a monthly meeting.

Next Guest Night - Monday, June 28, 2010

Our June meeting will host a colorful character, Corrie Pattison Tatum. Corrie grew up in Pattison and married when she was 18-1/2. She and her husband, John, were stationed all over the country. Then moved back to Houston and raised their family there. A few years ago, they moved back "home". Since Corrie has never been a person to hold something back, expect some good stories.

Mark your calendars and get ready for the next meeting of the Pattison Area Heritage Society on Monday evening, June 28th at 7:00 PM and hear some great stories and history that originated from folks in the Pattison area.

April 2010 - PAHS Meeting Cancelled

The Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department's front driveway is being upgraded to a concrete driveway, and because of this construction the monthly meeting of the PAHS will be cancelled due to the construction of this new driveway.

We are very excited about the wonderful things that are happening with the Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department and their facilities, but having to get everyone to park 1/4 mile or further away and walk navigating the construction of the new driveway, we have chosen to cancel this month's meeting.

By the way, the months of May and December, we don't have meeting either, so we look forward to seeing everyone again in June, the last Monday evening of the month - June 28, 2010. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the presentation begins around 7:00 pm.

The Pattison Area Heritage Society wishes to thank and appreciate the Pattison Area Volunteer Fire Department for the shared results of this fundraiser event. Even though it was not a huge money making venture, the time and energy that both the PAHS and the PAVFD volunteers shared was a true act of selflessness, benefiting those who attended the Sweetheart Dinner and Dance. We thank those folks, too who came out and spent their evening with us and were treated to a special evening in Pattison.

We also want to give thanks for Galileo's Mexican Grill for serving such a delightful chicken and beef fajitas dinner. If you haven't been to Galileo's in Pattison, Texas yet, do yourself a favor and get over there right away. They serve some great tasty food, and their lunch specials are awesomely good and priced right, too.

And we don't want to forget the smooth country and western tunes provided by The Earl Sanders Jr. Band. Let me tell ya Hazel, they sure had some good sounds coming from them at the Dance. And their extended set of Merle Haggard songs had people yelling for more.
